I just realized my second test computer doesn't have gigabit. That explains the 11 MiB.
Syncthing

Hehe..... I asked because I saw some other people complaining about poor performance.

Hi ryecoaaron,
after todays update of my OMV installation from 1.x (last stable version of 1.x) --> 2.1.7 I receive an "Internal Server Error" when I press the "View Log" button in the admin panel of the syncthing plugin. There is no further information revealed when I click "show details". However, syncthing itself works flawless, the service is up and running.
Perhaps you may have a hint how to solve this issue? Thanks in advance,
topiP.S.: syncthing plugin version 1.6, syncthing version 0.11.19

As for now try an access ssh, the log should be at /va/log/syncthing/
you Can delete the fat files there. I don't know if syncthing has options to cycling the log in their daemon.
are you sure is syncthing log?
-
That's what I did...when log are deleted, all is fine....But until when ?
I'm sure it's syncthing log !
I did not find any option in the GUI.
But it seems syncthing can use logrotate to control log files.
Perhaps something to configure in next version of plugin ? -

Yes sure, but at the moment the developer is not available for commits, so you'll have to wait. Otherwise add your own entry to logrotate.d
-
You could make a cron job that will delete all the gzipped logs with the command:
rm /var/log/*.gz
This is what I use a lot to free up space when people have a full disk.

same problem here!
11 Gigs syncthing logs!!!!
What happend with the plugin developer?
do you plan a fix for the log mistake and update to 0.12.2?br,

Nothing happened to me. I just uploaded an update to the plugin three days ago. I never saw these last few posts. I will have to look to see what it would take to fix this.Update to 0.12.2?? Updates to syncthing are determined by syncthing since we use their repo.

openmediavault-syncthing 1.8 is in the repo. For each user, it logrotates weekly, compresses old logs, and keeps 4 logs.

Thanks!
But my OMV Installation does not show any syncthing update.
(Not in the webgui and not via ssh & apt-get update + upgrade)
I'm on plugin version 1.6 at the moment.#Support Information: http://pastebin.com/dv7wWHe8

Try the apt clean button in omv-extras. If that doesn't work, post the output of: cat /etc/apt/sources.list.d/omv-extras-org-stoneburner.list

Already tried the "apt-clean" button - same result.

You need to enable the btsync repo. This repo should be renamed sync.

Thanks ryecoaaron!
Update is now listed. -
Has anybody installed the syncthing plugin in the last couple of days?
I have OMV installed on a Banana Pro. Everything (SMB, MiniDLNA, SSH) is working, but I can't get the syncthing plugin installed. I've followed the above suggestions, but it's not showing up.
I installed sncthing via apt-get install and when I try to install the plugin (openmedia-syncthing) the plugin is not found ("Unable to locate package openmediavault-syncthing")
Any suggestions? or shall I install the deb package from http://omv-extras.org/debian/p…openmediavault-syncthing/ ?
Many thanks for any help.

Just out of curiosity, why did you install syncthing manually? Do you have the btsync repo enabled?

Hi Aaron,
Synching didn't show up in the available plugins list, hence I installed it manually.
I think OMV must have gotten confused somewhere.
I wiped everything, did a clean install and I've now installed the synching plugin successfully.
Cheers for this great plugin. -
After enabling the bt sync repo I also got into trouble during updating
