Subsonic plugin error

i have the same problem my webgui disappeared after installing subsonic. So i removed it but via cli but that didnt fix the problem.

The filesize of my config.xml is 0

-rw------- 1 openmediavault openmediavault 0 Apr 14 16:45 /etc/openmediavault/config.xml

Server is running fine just no webgui

Any help how to restore ? ( no .bak file in folder)

I don't have a way to restore its content, but I know how to restore the file itself.

omv-initsystem

But that only regenerates the file, not the content you had...

that means i have to reinstall all plugins ?

Wait for some of the Plugin devs @ryecoaaron or @HK-47 to respond. Maybe they got another suggestion, but it to me it looks like your only option.

But before you engage the procedure, wait for them to respond so we can try to nail down why your config.xml got emptied.

as stated above the omv-initsystem command seems not to work.

The size of config xml is still zero after using it.

Last hope will be reinstalling omv and then import pool ?

somehow I did something useful *ohmiracle*

I copied the template like ryecoaaron said.

Then run omv-initsystem

After that firstaid and assigned back to port 80

Now webgui is back up with my assigned pw (I thought its stored in the config.xml)

The plugin tabs are there but the config of most of them is missing.

Nope. It's stored encrypted in the /etc/shadow file, like for every system user.

I tried to install subsonic by using the stable repo (1.0.5 version) but it does not work. I enabled the testing repo but I cannot find the 1.0.7 version even after a refresh in the Update manager or in the Plugins section

frotzamuta has been able to run it but I cannot do it

I tried the command indicated by davidh2k but it does not work

./update-version subsonic kralizec-miller-testing

Could you push the 1.0.7 version to stable or explain how to use the testing repo ?
I believe I am not the only one not being able to use subsonic and ranting about it

I was about to post a thread about subsonic when the forum suggested this thread. Let me know if I need to create a new thread

that command was soleyly targeted at jamie for updating the repo... it's not for you guys. Sorry.

1.7 however should be in testing repo. If Jamie gives an okay aaron or me can push it to the stable repo later.

In OMV-Extras.org (side menu) check "Download Managers Testing" this should then show 1.07 in the plugins list.

@ davidh2k it should be ok to move to stable esp if the current stable version is not working.

It works thanks. I am logged in subsonic with admin / admin !
I can test it a bit before putting it in stable if you want.

I tought that activating the testing repo was enough to access to all the content of the testing repo

Small feedback about the plugin:

There is no "link" between OMV and subsonic for the users and folders ? (Same behaviour with transmission plugin for users)
This should be a huge amount of work I guess or even not possible at all ?

I have a look on an other tool called Yunohost which aims to be a private cloud. People there have a developped a small SSO (Single Sign On) to manage this credential problem to acess to applications : SSOwat
If OMV wants to attract more people plugins, this problem will show up.

This might not be the right place to discuss about that by the way ...
