Viewing Changelog in the Update Manager Fails

  • Every time an update becomes available, I like to check out the changelog just to see what's changed, if anything. The last few times that updates have come out though, I have been unable to view changelogs, and instead get an error. This error came from an attempt to look at the changelog for the "curl 7.26.0-1+wheezy14" package, but it seems to happen for everything.

    Zitat von OpenMediaVault Error

    Failed to execute command 'export LANG=C; dpkg-deb --fsys-tarfile '/var/cache/apt/archives/curl_7.26.0-1+wheezy14_armhf.deb' | tar -x --wildcards -C /tmp/57a60df75124e ./usr/share/doc/curl/changelog* 2>&1': tar: This does not look like a tar archive tar: ./usr/share/doc/curl/changelog.Debian.gz: Not found in archive tar: ./usr/share/doc/curl/changelog.gz: Not found in archive tar: Exiting with failure status due to previous errors

    Whenever I click on the "Show details" button, this is what I see.

    Zitat von OpenMediaVault Error Stack Trace

    What's the matter? Is it a bug, do some packages simply not behave properly when one attempts to view the changelog, or is something wrong with my OMV installation?

    We have seen this before. Some packages don't have changelogs. For the others, I think this was fixed in OMV 3.x but probably not OMV 2.x. You can always look at the changelog here

    omv 7.0.5-1 sandworm | 64 bit | 6.8 proxmox kernel

    plugins :: omvextrasorg 7.0 | kvm 7.0.13 | compose 7.1.6 | k8s 7.1.0-3 | cputemp 7.0.1 | mergerfs 7.0.4

    omv-extras.org plugins source code and issue tracker - github - changelogs
