I'll probably have to redo the whole bind-mount/volumes area since it's a bit of a patchwork right now. Could you add your idea to GitHub?

I have a fresh insatall of omv 2.1.18 stoneburner | 64 bit | 3.16 backport kernel | omvextrasorg 2.8.
From some reason I don't see any Docker Plugins and specially not Docker-GUI.What have I done wrong?

You have to enable the docker repo in the Omv-extras section.

I need some help with a problem I've got. I want to know when a container starts/stops/restarts and then run some commands on the host machine when this happens. Worst case scenario would be cronjob that checks the pid of the container in question like every minute and then acts if it's changed, but this isn't a nice solution. Preferably I should be able to act upon the docker log somehow and make rsyslog execute the script with some proper parameters. Ideas anyone?

Takes a while for me to understand API's as i am not a programmer, maybe this would work?

Anyway the word you're looking for in linux are called hook scripts, typical examples are if-up.d, sleep.d folders and so on. They are some requests are github but all i found was references to docker-compose which honestly at the moment i still don't understand.

That's a 64-bit cpu, but did you install the debian 64 bit?
Check with uname -r -
If you're on 64 bit then what does apt-cache policy openmediavault-docker-gui says?

Check with <code class="inlineCode">uname -r </code>Hi,
This is the result of the command: 3.16.0-0.bpo.4-586.
Is it 64 or 32? -
If you're on 64 bit then what does apt-cache policy openmediavault-docker-gui says?
It says:
"N: Unable to locate package openmediavault-docker-gui" -
This is the result of the command: 3.16.0-0.bpo.4-586.
You're on 32 bit, you need to reinstall with the amd64 iso.

Thanks! I'll have a look at that.

Hi,
is there a possibility to run a docker container under a certain user? I'm using bittorrent sync and the synced files should be saved as user:users and not as root:users.
BTSync is running on my Nas and once a week the files are getting synchronized over a rsync job onto my server. So my goal is, that the files already have the right owner before the weekly synchronization (rsync).
