Mounting cdrom
-
- OMV 1.0
- Nencio
-
-
You have to mount it and create a shared folder with relative path '/'. This way you can share the whole CD, oherwise mount the relative path to any sub-dir on the CD.
-
-
With 2.0.11 mounting CD-ROM via WebGUI should work, see http://sourceforge.net/p/openmediavault/code/1873.
Note, the feature only works with kernel 3.16 (use backports in Wheezy) and util-linux from Jessie because only this version provides an UUID for ISO9660 filesystems.

Do I have to update to version 2.x?
Is there a support for UDF? -
Do I have to update to version 2.x?
V 2.X is still under developement. If you do not exactly know what you are doing, I´d wait.
-
There is another limitation. You have to install util-linux from Jessie to get this feature working. I think it will not be usable for everyone before OMV 3.0 whcih will be based on Debian Jessie.
-
I have installed util-linux, but in WebGUI can not mount cdrom.
-
Please post the output from
# blkid
Have you installed the latest kernel from wheezy-backports?
-
blkid:
After mounting:
Standard installation of version 1.9 + omv-extras.org.Code
Alles anzeigenuname -a Linux OpenMediaVault 3.2.0-4-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 3.2.68-1+deb7u1 x86_64 GNU/Linux cat /proc/version Linux version 3.2.0-4-amd64 (debian-kernel@lists.debian.org) (gcc version 4.6.3 (Debian 4.6.3-14) ) #1 SMP Debian 3.2.68-1+deb7u1 dpkg -l | grep linux-image ii linux-image-3.2.0-4-amd64 3.2.68-1+deb7u1 amd64 Linux 3.2 for 64-bit PCs ii linux-image-amd64 3.2+46 amd64 Linux for 64-bit PCs (meta-package)
-
You are using the wrong kernel. You have to use 3.16.x or greater.
-
You can write how to do it?
-
-
Code
Alles anzeigenuname -a Linux OpenMediaVault-1X 3.16.0-0.bpo.4-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 3.16.7-ckt9-3~deb8u1~bpo70+1 (2015-04-27) x86_64 GNU/Linux cat /proc/version Linux version 3.16.0-0.bpo.4-amd64 (debian-kernel@lists.debian.org) (gcc version 4.6.3 (Debian 4.6.3-14) ) #1 SMP Debian 3.16.7-ckt9-3~deb8u1~bpo70+1 (2015-04-27) dpkg -l | grep linux-image ii linux-image-3.16.0-0.bpo.4-amd64 3.16.7-ckt9-3~deb8u1~bpo70+1 amd64 Linux 3.16 for 64-bit PCs ii linux-image-3.2.0-4-amd64 3.2.68-1+deb7u1 amd64 Linux 3.2 for 64-bit PCs ii linux-image-amd64 3.2+46 amd64 Linux for 64-bit PCs (meta-package)
You still can not install the WebGUI cdrom. -
-
-
You're system does not give the expected output. Whcih architecture do you have?
-
-
-
Seems only iso9660 filesystems have an UUID with the above mentioned software versions. So sadly UDF is not supported via WebGUI.
