How about: ls -al v4l/bu*
Problem installing DVB-C Card T9580
-
- OMV 1.0

I would guess you need media_build_bst_121102.
This is why I picked a card with drivers built-in to the kernel
What card do you use ? I'm also thinking about to use VDR and lookng for an internal DVB-T2/C card or
an USB Stick. -
-
So - new day new try
I started all over again and reinstalled OMV to have a fresh start
So this is what i did step by step until the point i am right now
1. http://www.linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/DVBSky - closed source driver
2. No Problem / no error
3. No Problem / no error
2. No Problem
Code# Install required build tools (openSUSE: `zypper install make gcc kernel-devel`) apt-get install kernel-package linux-headers-`uname -r`
4. Download DVBSky Media build package - using media_build_bst_121102 (Download) for kernel 3.5.3/3.4.4/3.3.2/3.2.29
Codecd /usr/src wget http://www.dvbsky.net/download/media_build_bst_121102.tar.gz tar xf media_build_bst_121102.tar.gz
Until here everything works according to the tutorial.
but no this step should follow:Code# `build_x86.sh` for any 32-bit system with DVB-S/S2/T/T2 OR `build_dvbc_x86.sh` for DVB-S/S2/C driver # `build_x64.sh` for any 64-bit system with DVB-S/S2/T/T2 OR `build_dvbc_x64.sh` for DVB-S/S2/C driver # Run `uname -a` to determine if 32 or 64-bit (x86_64/amd64/ia64) is required. ./v4l/build_x86.sh ~OR~ ./v4l/build_dvbc_x86.sh ~OR~ ./v4l/build_x64.sh ~OR~ ./v4l/build_dvbc_x64.sh
But there is no .sh file anywhere
Code
Alles anzeigenroot@openmediavault:/usr/src/media_build_bst# ls -al v4l insgesamt 88 drwxr-xr-x 4 1000 1000 4096 Nov 2 2012 . drwx------ 5 1000 1000 4096 Jul 22 2012 .. -rwxr-xr-x 1 1000 1000 25058 Apr 7 2012 compat.h drwxr-xr-x 2 1000 1000 4096 Nov 2 2012 firmware -rwxr-xr-x 1 1000 1000 393 Apr 7 2012 Kconfig.misc -rwxr-xr-x 1 1000 1000 1268 Apr 7 2012 Kconfig.sound -rwxr-xr-x 1 1000 1000 1276 Apr 7 2012 Kconfig.staging -rwxr-xr-x 1 1000 1000 13324 Apr 7 2012 Makefile -rwxr-xr-x 1 1000 1000 1917 Apr 7 2012 Makefile.kernel -rwxr-xr-x 1 1000 1000 803 Apr 7 2012 Makefile.sound -rwxr-xr-x 1 1000 1000 3259 Apr 7 2012 obsolete.txt drwxr-xr-x 3 1000 1000 4096 Jul 27 2012 scripts -rwxr-xr-x 1 1000 1000 3398 Apr 7 2012 versions.txt root@openmediavault:/usr/src/media_build_bst#
according to http://www.dvbsky.net/Support_linux.html there is no driver for 3.2.0 ? 0o
hmmm ?
-
There is a driver for 3.2.29. I thought it might work. Not sure what else to have you try.
-
is there a way to manually update the kernel?
-
You can upgrade to 3.16 kernel but there isn't a driver for that kernel either. You may have to wait for OMV on Debian Jessie where it can use the 3.18 kernel that has the drive builtin.
-
ETA?
and how can i upgrade? i just want to give it a tryedit:
well it works with the backport kernel - awesome!
thank you very much! -
-
backported kernel worked
-
Backport or experimental?
-
I used the backported kernel - installed via omv extras
