Can't update OpenMediaVault

  • Hi guys,

when I check up for updates I get the error starting with:

    Code
    Failed to execute command 'export LANG=C; apt-get update 2>&1': Ign file: Release.gpg Ign file: Release Ign file: Translation-en Ign file: Translation-de_DE Hit http://packages.openmediavault.org kralizec Release.gpg Hit http://ftp.de.debian.org wheezy Release.gpg Hit http://ftp.debian.org wheezy-backports Release.gpg Hit http://packages.openmediavault.org kralizec Release Hit http://ftp.de.debian.org wheezy Release Hit http://ftp.debian.org wheezy-backports Release Hit http://packages.openmediavault.org kralizec/main Sources Hit http://packages.openmediavault.org kralizec/main armhf Packages Hit http://ftp.de.debian.org wheezy/main Sources Hit http://packages.omv-extras.org kralizec-backports Release.gpg Hit http://ftp.de.debian.org wheezy/non-free Sources Hit http://ftp.debian.org wheezy-backports/main armhf Packages/DiffIndex Hit http://ftp.de.debian.org wheezy/contrib Sources Hit http://ftp.de.debian.org wheezy/main armhf Packages Hit http://ftp.de.debian.org wheezy/non-free armhf Packages Hit http://ftp.de.debian.org wheezy/contrib armhf Packages Hit http://ftp.de.debian.org wheezy/contrib Translation-en Hit http://ftp.de.debian.org wheezy/main Translation-en Hit http://ftp.de.debian.org wheezy/main Translation-de_DE Hit http://ftp.de.debian.org wheezy/non-free Translation-en Hit http://packages.omv-extras.org kralizec Release.gpg Hit http://ftp.debian.org wheezy-backports/contrib armhf Packages/DiffIndex Hit http://ftp.debian.org wheezy-backports/non-free armhf Packages/DiffIndex Hit http://ftp.debian.org wheezy-backports/contrib Translation-en/DiffIndex Ign http://packages.openmediavault.org kralizec/main Translation-en Hit http://packages.omv-extras.org kralizec-backports Release Hit http://ftp.debian.org wheezy-backports/main Translation-en/DiffIndex Ign http://packages.openmediavault.org kralizec/main Translation-de_DE Hit http://ftp.debian.org wheezy-backports/non-free Translation-en/DiffIndex Hit http://packages.omv-extras.org kralizec Release Hit http://packages.omv-extras.org kralizec/main armhf Packages Ign http://packages.omv-extras.org kralizec/main Translation-en Ign http://packages.omv-extras.org kralizec/main Translation-de_DE Hit

I'm very new to this even to Linux. I tried a solution but didn't get the steps like typing this command into the console:

    Code
    ls /etc/apt/sources.list.d

    and the output is:

    Code
    backports.list omv-extras-org-kralizec.list
    omv-extras-org-custom.list openmediavault-local.list

What now? Besides an apt-get update throws this error message:

    Code
W: Failed to fetch http://packages.omv-extras.org/debian/dists/kralizec-backports/Release Unable to find expected entry 'main/binary-armhf/Packages' in Release file (Wrong sources.list entry or malformed file)

E: Some index files failed to download. They have been ignored, or old ones used instead.
    apt-get update 21.43s user 0.50s system 103% cpu 21.186 tota

Help is much appreciated... According to the message I need to do changes in sources.list... Can anybody tell me exactly how to do it?
As a small addition I do run OpenMediaVault on a banana pi (uname -a says armv71).

I'm sorry if this is the wrong section...

    Thanks in advance!

You tried installing the backports kernel, didn't you? There isn't a backports kernel for armhf.

    rm /etc/apt/sources.list.d/backports.list
    apt-get update

    omv 7.0.5-1 sandworm | 64 bit | 6.8 proxmox kernel

    plugins :: omvextrasorg 7.0 | kvm 7.0.13 | compose 7.1.4 | k8s 7.1.0-3 | cputemp 7.0.1 | mergerfs 7.0.4

omv-extras.org plugins source code and issue tracker - github - changelogs
