Do I have to use "purge"? Because when I use "remove" it would keep my settings?

Yes, in command line:

apt-get --purge remove openmediavault-emby

The good thing is from now on we will do upgrades....

I'm getting an error message from the forum.....

You should make sure this location is empty to make sure you get new version blublub:

/var/cache/openmediavault/archives

If the package is there delete it and edit the packages file there and remove it from the list.
You only need to do this if you updated via update manager.

Remove the prior versions first:
apt-get --purge remove openmediavault-emby

Then unzip and install with:
dpkg -i packagename

Why are all these dependencies not installing???? Like your internet is down or dns server messed up.

I don't think is plugin related. If it were all from the mono repo I would say you did not enable mono. But some of those packages are from the debian repos.

Did you try:
apt-get -f install

I tried apt-get install -f in the meantime, that did it. Dont know what went wrong though...

To spoil the fun a bit:
Currently my emby with the omv-emby plugin from the repo (1.0, thanks guys!) is only listening in on IPv4 adresses...

mono-sgen 9367     emby   40u  IPv4  26374      0t0  TCP *:8096 (LISTEN)
mono-sgen 9367     emby   42u  IPv4  26375      0t0  TCP *:8921 (LISTEN)
... more localhost connections for the DB and stuff

any way to get emby to listen in on IPv4 and IPv6?

Notes: working directory should be home directory the same as plex.

Building packages/libraries for RPi 2.... it is slow!!!!

32 bit and armhf are in github. If Aaron wants to get it out he can...

Update... I tested my changes. 32 bit is working but Luke has not compiled ffmpeg for armhf yet. ffmpeg is downloaded when you first start emby, from one of their repos. So the RPi 2 will not be working right away as I hoped. If they do not build it soon I will try to get the RPi 2 working. Aaron has not updated the package in the Stoneburner repo yet. He may not for a couple days as it is a holiday here.

now i was able to install by disabling some sources that i dont need anymore.

Did you enable it? You should only need the mono repo added to install.

What does it say when you do:
service emby status

you are on 64 bit machine yes?
