Perhaps syncthing.
syncthing is implementd as extension on nas4free: http://forums.nas4free.org/viewtopic.php?f=71&t=7821 perhaps can be implemented into OMV too.

Hey Raulf,
thank you for your suggestion. Syncthing really looks interesting and promising, but for my use case, I need a syncing software that allows a sftp access to my cloud drive (only access.
So, anything else?
Thanks for your feedback,

One thing that is seriously lacking is a home automation solution. There are a couple of open source web-based systems out there: Domoticz, Jeedom, Domogik, and probably a couple of others. I don't know which one is better, but it would be great to have at least one of these in OMV.
Wow cool ! That's awesome ! How did I miss that ?
I'm posting this because it's related to plugins I would like to see.
My question is : Does XBMC (now Kodi) will be implemented? that would be great, I can't really see how to install on the last kralizec version...
XBMC does not have a server part, other than mysql DB centralization. You can install the mysql plugin and use that as your DB on XBMC.
If you want a centralized media solution you need the Plex or Mediabrowser plugins.
Edit: I'm so sorry telling no to a panda, but someone has to do it.
Why? Well... in that case you got some serious brainz there. I'm just an unpresentable guy.
Better open a new thread you'll get the appropriate support.
I renew the request for a plugin that allows us to synchronize one or more folders with Webdav services, especially Dropbox.
I did some simple tests; my opinion is that is possible to have more Dropbox folders in OMV performing these steps:
At this point, for each user, there is a different synchronization with the profile of Dropbox that starts when the user login, but I think with CRON can automate tasks.
In my opinion this thing could be handled very easily at the level of plugin.
Or am I wrong?
The dropbox stuff isn't that easy to make into a plugin. I am currently testing mediafire's fuse filesystem to their cloud storage service. It is looking very good and the developer's have been very fast to fix the bugs I have found. If I can get it to a stable point, there will definitely be a mediafire plugin. mediafire has all the other ways to access those files as well - smart phone, browsers, Windows extension, and now linux fuse filesystem.

I would like to have a plugin, who makes it possible to connect the server as an vpn-client (openvpn or l2tp) to a vpn-server like blackvpn, hide.me, hidemyass etc and share this connection with other clients on the LAN. The OMV-Server acts as a gateway, so that all clients can go online through the vpn-connection

It is nowhere near complete.
I can help you, if you want ??
I didn't write any of it. So, I'm not sure what needs to be done and I don't know much about fail2ban. It would be easier for me to help you with the plugin part

you can do that way :
I thought fail2ban was abandoned due to feature Volker added for to many login failures. Also, if you have your lan via OpenVPN why you do you need fail2ban??? Why open up router to your http or https of OMV?
