Here is what I would do.

    Code
    cp /etc/openmediavault/config.xml /etc/openmediavault/config.backup
    nano /etc/openmediavault/config.cml
      go to fstab section
find mntent entry that matches your uuid (8d089ed1-5d...)
delete <mntent> to </mntent> including the mntent tags
      ctrl-o to save
      ctrl-x to exit

    reboot

You may have to remove the entry from /etc/fstab as well.

  • sorry for digging up an old thread, but i had the same problem with a disk and proceeded as described here:

but now i have a share for a disk, that is not in my system anymore, what do i do to remove that?

  • You remove it from the config.xml like you did with your filesystem.

thanks, i figured it out now :)

so now that it is removed from the webgui, is there any way to check if it is still trying to mount and share it?

and if it does how do i fix that?

    regards

  • Do you got the feeling it still trys to mount and share it?

  • im pretty sure it is.
when i browse folders i see an extra something thats not supposed to be there, but when i was removing the drive there was no way to unmount it and it said it was still in use, even tho i had deleted all shares and everything on the disk to be sure.

  • and it said it was still in use, even tho i had deleted all shares and everything on the disk to be sure.

If it says so, then it is referenced somewhere. Sweetspot is the home folder settings.

  • I was getting similar errors to above post and it took some time to realize I forgot to close out a tmux session that was in a subdirectory of the drive from the last time I had it mounted, so apparently that can keep the drive from being mounted again but not keep the drive from being unmounted. Closing the tmux session allowed for immediate mounting of the drive.
