CUPS Cloud Printing issue

Hi, tiday i tried config google Cloud print on my OMv following this tutorial
CUPS/Google
no success
and now wen i tri congifure the CUPs via weUI i get this error

i tried remove and install again CUPS, no changes

That tutorial is from 2013, omv 0.4 or 0.5 probably, you have to ask the writer of the tutorial if is still works at current version.

@suzero79 you don't have a idea ho solve this and put cups working again, maybe delete the cups configs files or something

nothing changes, when i reinstall cups again via WEBUI and try add printer same error

Why don't you try an redo your steps, removing the drivers. Other than that I don't know, maybe reinstall? I would have to fire a VM an follow the tutorial to see what went wrong, but I don't have the time to do that.

It is like you are missing this:

python-cups

Do a list with grep cups. See if you have that package. If not install it.

dpkg -l | grep cups

apt-get install python-cups

What cpu do you have?

but anyway i try install it aging and i get saying that package already the newest version.
My CPU is a intel pentium G3250

Did you do these commands?

apt-get install python-pip
pip install daemon
pip install cloudprint

PS- I changed title of your thread because CUPS/CUPS plugin is working for normal stuff. I went out and bought ink for an old printer just to test it.

I tested the CUPS plugin and it is working fine as a print server on a LAN, as long as you have the requisite driver for your printer. I would have to go through those steps and test cloud printing to see if I get the same error. I might try later today.

Try this and tell me if it says anything:

apt-get -f install

Also, did you try rebooting once?

That is different than what I have installed and it was not in the instructions to setup cloud print.
Do this:

apt-get purge libcups2-dev
apt-get autremove

See if the plugin is working then.

Another user on BPi with issues at getMakeModels:
Can't add printer on OMV 2.x running on Banana PI

This thread it is a CPU is a intel pentium G3250

@HK-47 got any idea why they are having issue with the rpc fucntion?

thanks @tekkb but i was not able to solve the problem, so i remember that i had my old USB drive with OMS so i restored the server from there, problem solved now works as before
